Thank you, I'm Impressed

I’m visiting with family in Idaho.  I was sitting Image from localismdown and showing someone what was going on with Localism and I was stunned.

Those images I’ve seen submitted to Localism are impressive.  Thank you for showing me so many beautiful things.

I travel and I’ve seen a some, but even in my own state I’m seeing amazing things that I’ve never seen before.

Thank you those of you who’ve submitted, and those of you who will submit.  If you haven’t checked it out please do.

This is awesome.

Thank you.

Caleb

Caleb, where is the link?

Caleb,

matt gave us a link to see the most recent photos, but it would be great if there was another way for us to browse them.  We have no idea where they are and click each state to see what is posted is not an option.  Just a thought.

I feel the same way Caleb.  Some of these guys must be professional photographers.  Very impressive,

Ken

There's currently a link that shows the 100 most recent photo's uploaded to the site on the front page.  We can add paging to it so if someone wanted they could browse through photo's 100 at a time.  Easy to do and wouldn't distract from the user interface.

Seeing good photos of other areas encourages us to take more of our own area.

I've been checking out some of the photos submitted by my AR buddies.  It is nice to see where they live.  There are some beautiful photos listed.  Thanks!

The localism seems like it's doing a great job.  Definitely something I wish I had when I was moving to Chicago, or considering California.

I have just created a new "group" on ActiveRain for anyone who is interested in Localism.  I have called the group Localism Beta for lack of a better term.

I have seen a number of different blog posts on the topic recently, including yours and yet there is no central place to locate articles that are written on such an important topic.

I would like to invite you to join the group and the edit your post and include the group as part of the distribution for others to easily find.  I would then encourage you to look and see what others have posted on the topic and share your thoughts and insights.  I am sure most of what we will see is support for the site as well as a tip or technique to best leverage it's potential to our benefit.

I am also certain that there will be some lively debate over the direction that Localism should go.  Now, I do not know what the ultimate business plan is and how much tweaking management will do on behalf of the users who have their own ideas on the site and how much is already set in stone - but certainly a debate is good for all.

So please, post your article and join us.

Now Have a Blessed Day,
