Growing With Lots of Rain.

Farmer Spreading Seeds With technological advances in communications, and changes in The Real Estate business in general, resources for real estate related information are abundant. The largest and most active source for real estate related information is the real estate professional. Despite this however, there are a number of very large and visible corporations who've captured the public's attention, and positioned themselves out ahead. The goal at ActiveRain is to put the professional back out in front.

The ActiveRain Real Estate Network is currently one of the best, and the most alive place online where you can learn and share knowledge with likeminded real estate professionals. The wealth of information available on The Network is amazing. Snippets, vignettes, opinions, and experiences of members arrive daily on The Rain. Each member comes sharing and commenting on their daily lives as a part of this industry.

Developing contacts sharing referrals and learning from each other, the collective professionals are here on The ActiveRain Real Estate Network strengthening one another with support and knowledge.

In addition ActiveRain is reaching out to consumers with our push technology that pushes your information and your contributions out over the internet through fine tuning, optimization of network materials and regular submissions to Google BaseTM and other sources. We are working to help put real estate agents, loan officers and other professionals together back in front of their clients. Our goal is to help you use your skills and your contributions to this industry to benefit you.

With Localism we are further positioning to greater enable you reach your local markets. The collaboration of those of you who contribute to keeping this industry going on a daily basis is helping to push out large disintermediation oriented entities. We are in the very early stages of Localism now, but as we build we will have made a great resource to help put you in front of your business prospects.

In the long run it is the work and the contributions that you put in today that will help to prepare you and put you in position succeed tomorrow.

good points and prmotion of Active Rain...realtors need to be the foremost source of real estate info, not any database or website.

Localism is a great idea for agents - between this site and localism, you guys seem to have the residential market covered.  (Hm, commercial market next, perhaps?)

Caleb,

Thanks for the post. Sitting here in the garden state, I am all to aware of the need to sow the seeds today in order to reap the benefits tomorrow. ActiveRain is like an organic co-op, a grassroots organization, taking the lead to provide a forum for real estate professionals. Kudos for the great incubation job you and the crew are doing with Localism. The next great harvest!

Caleb, this has always been so exciting .. Active Rain, the people that are involved and all the new innovative things that you guys come up with. Sometimes I feel like I wish I found you earlier, but then again... I did find you quite early- when you were a mere 4 months old. WHoo! Hoo!

With the goal of keeping real estate professionals (note, I didn't say "agents") central to the transaction, and now focusing on bringing the consumer information and viewpoints, I think it will be amazing to watch ActiveRain continue to grow.

I've only been an 'active' rainer since about Nov, but A/R has proven invaluable to me.  I really can't thank you and everyone who is a part of this, enough.  I'm a relative new agent and work with a small brokerage in a slow market (now that I think about it, I must really love this career, or why would I be doing this?lol). It would take me years and years to learn there what I've learned here.  Thank you.
